At Fundación HAME, we believe that gaining new skills and knowledge can open the door to meaningful opportunities in one’s own country. That's why, together with Casa del Migrante in Tecún Umán, San Marcos, we bring training opportunities closer to migrants in transit, displaced people, refugees, and returnees who are seeking to strengthen their technical skills and expand their income-generating possibilities, including by starting their own businesses through courses such as acrylic nail training.
The training sessions are led by INTECAP instructors and, to make them more accessible, they are held directly at Casa del Migrante’s facilities.
Beyond learning a specific technique, this course gives women the opportunity to develop a skill they can use independently and adapt to their own circumstances. For Fundación HAME, supporting these processes means bringing opportunities closer to people, strengthening their economic autonomy, and helping them build new alternatives wherever they are.
This effort is the result of coordination among Fundación HAME, Casa del Migrante, and INTECAP, demonstrating the value of joining forces so that opportunities can reach more people.
Together, we are stronger.
