At Fundación HAME, we work to ensure more children and young people have better learning conditions. As part of this commitment, we delivered 365 desks to eight schools in Sayaxché, Petén.

The furniture will benefit preschool, elementary and highschool students in the communities of El Mirador, El Tamarindo, La Ceiba, Champerico, El Chotal, San José El Pato, Santa Isabel, and El Canaleño. The delivery took place at the Agroecological Field School in the community of La Torre, with the participation of representatives from the Petén Departmental Direction of Education, teachers, community leaders, and members of Fundación HAME.

We are proud to know that this contribution complements the efforts made by the communities to offer better learning conditions and provide their students with more suitable spaces for their education. We are also pleased to report that, in San José El Pato, the new desks will complement two newly built classrooms, ensuring these spaces have what they need to welcome students.

This delivery was made possible through the collaborative efforts with educational authorities, teachers, and local residents, whom we thank for joining forces to improve school conditions in Sayaxché.

Together we are stronger.
