We are delighted to share that Fundación HAME and BALAM Association signed a cooperation agreement to join forces in the conservation of biocultural landscapes and the sustainable development of rural communities in Petén and Alta Verapaz. This strategic alliance will allow the design and implementation of projects for integrated watershed management, comprehensive rural development, and good environmental practices, as well as fostering the creation of opportunities for young people through initiatives such as a rural scholarships' fund, an Agribusiness School for the development of productive projects and improving the quality of life in communities.

The BALAM Association is an organization specializes in the promotion of economically sustainable biocultural landscapes. It works through public-private partnerships to conserve cultural and natural heritage, promote integrated watershed management, rural development and collaboration.
