The Center for Care and Registration of Returned Guatemalan Migrants was inaugurated on June 2nd with the goal of providing comprehensive reintegration and development to migrants returning to the country. This effort is part of the Guatemalan Government's Return Home Plan, promoted by the Guatemalan Migration Institute.
At the Guatemalan Railways facilities in Guatemala City, companies, organizations, and other relevant stakeholders committed to this initiative will be present, offering support and training opportunities, psychosocial assistance, employability, and entrepreneurship so that returned migrants have real alternatives for growth and development.
As president of AMCHAM's CSR and Foundations Committee, Fundación HAME reaffirms its commitment to this initiative. AMCHAM is present at the Center to bring opportunities to returned migrants. This is a key effort that recognizes Guatemalan value and talent, offering decent jobs, economic growth, and personal development, under the principles of respect, protection, and guarantee of human rights.
We hope that many more organizations will join this alliance for dignity, reunion, and inclusion.
