We are cultivating the future through a strategic alliance with Fundación Avina and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), aimed at promoting socioeconomic alternatives to irregular migration in Coatepeque, Quetzaltenango.
Thanks to this collaborative effort, we promoted key actions focused on employability, ethical recruitment, and community entrepreneurship, generating real opportunities for individuals and their families. These initiatives also brought to light stories that give voice to their experiences and contributed to the design and implementation of public policy for the socioeconomic inclusion of the migrant population, as well as strengthening municipal capacities for comprehensive migration management in the region.
These advances represent a significant step for Coatepeque, a municipality facing major migration challenges, and reaffirm the importance of strategic alliances for building sustainable, long-term solutions.
